Patio Table and Chair Sets – Ready For Fall

While most people have the same decorations they pull out for their kitchen, dining room and living room inside the house, what do you pull out for your backyard? Nothing come to mind? That means you have sad patio table and chair sets that are lacking this fun theme of the season.

Here’s a way to add a little fall style to your outdoor furniture.

Table Décor

When people look at your patio table and chair sets, the first thing they are going to see is the tabletop. This is just a habit with people. They want to see what’s on the table and where they will put their drink, food, or whatever else they may be carrying. This is where your first blast of fall fun should be.

Consider a centerpiece that is filled with bright oranges, browns and yellows that reminds everyone fall is here as soon as they set eyes on your patio furniture.

Chair Décor

You don’t have to stop at the table when decorating for the fall. Think about what your patio table and chair sets are made of – one table and a lot of chairs. Usually at least four chairs are around a table, sometimes more. Why would you only decorate the table and leave all of this space unloved? That is too much real estate to leave out of your fall decorating theme.

Luckily, there is a whole world of chair covers out there just waiting to be added to your patio table and chair sets’ style. It used to be covers were only made for indoor chairs, like dining room tables, but times have changed. With trends towards more outside entertaining in mild months, many companies have realized that people will want to decorate their outdoor areas just as much as the inside of their homes.

Decorative Accents

Once you have accented both parts of your patio table and chair sets, you should start looking around them and see what you can add. There are a number of little tricks you can use to complete the theme on your patio or deck:

o Plants – While you may think the outdoors is filled with plants, you want something more than the grass of your backyard at this time of year. You need plants that show off the colors of the season. A quick trip to a nursery should help you find flowers and foliage that are in the hues of autumn.

o Lights – You surely have porch lighting to illuminate your outside entertaining area, but why not have accent lighting to help make your patio furniture glow. Instead of bright white lights, accent lighting can fit the mood of the season being in yellows and oranges. Hang them across the edge of the deck, if it’s closed in. If you have an open patio, you will have to be more creative, but there are lights made to be hung on your patio table umbrellas, around the edge of the table and any other standing objects that you may want to decorate.
